What to Expect During Your First Visit
We understand how busy you are and this is why we now make our new patient forms available online, providing you with the option of completing them at your leisure in the comfort of your own home. Simply print them out, fill in your information, and bring them in during your first visit.
During your initial visit, Dr. Singh will:
- Review your medical and dental history
- Analyze and ascertain your overall oral health
- Take X-rays and polish your teeth
- Detect any early-stage cavities with Diagnodent
- Check your gums for periodontal disease
- Conduct an oral cancer screening
- Discuss your treatment plan options
Surprisingly, oral cancer is the 6th most common type of cancer — and the most virulent. Oral cancer patients experience the worst five-year survival rate of all major types of cancer. Without regular exams, the disease often progresses unnoticed, which is why Dr. Singh checks your mouth for any signs of the disease during every initial exam and six-month check-up.
This visit takes approximately one hour to complete. Depending on the complexity or simplicity of your treatment plan, your visit may take more or less time. The doctor will conduct a thorough cleaning and finalize the strategy for improving the health of your teeth.
